Our Mission

PRACC’s mission is to strengthen the post-surgical recovery industry through education, compliance, quality improvement, and patient advocacy.
We aim to equip recovery home partners with the knowledge and systems necessary to maintain safer organizations while empowering patients to understand what they should expect from the individuals and organizations supporting their recovery.

Compliance is not a one-time achievement. It is an ongoing responsibility.

PRACC was created to help post-surgical recovery home owners understand how to build, maintain, monitor and continuously improve the systems that support safe recovery.
At PRACC we believe safe healing requires more than simply helping owners become certified or prepared for opening day, completing a training course, or obtaining an initial certification.
Our goal is to teach owners what happens after certification—when policies must be followed, staff must remain trained, documentation must stay current, safety systems must be monitored, and the business must remain prepared.

PATH ONE: Patient Education and Advocacy

Safe healing begins with an informed patient. PRACC provides education and advocacy designed to help surgical clients better understand the recovery process, prepare for post-operative care, recognize potential warning signs, ask informed questions, and make safer decisions when selecting recovery home providers. Our goal is to help patients feel prepared to advocate for themselves throughout their healing journey.

PATH TWO: Recovery Home Compliance and Education

This is at the heart of PRACC. Many recovery home owners focus heavily on what is required to start their business: completing training, earning a certificate, preparing the property, developing policies, or meeting an initial standard. But safe operations cannot stop there. PRACC teaches post-surgical recovery home owners how to transition from obtaining the initial certification to how to maintain ongoing compliance.
